Redlion's Party

Sunday 14th August was a momentous day - the 100th edition of Gazette!
100 weeks through the good times, the bad times and everything in between demanded a party. We wanted to thank everyone who has supported the project from the start. The 100th issue landmark also happened to coincide with another important bit of Redlion history: the creation of our PFPs collection.
Although we weren’t quite ready to reveal the identities of our beloved Redlion PFPs in time for Issue #100, we still wanted them to appear on the cover. An endless rave seemed like the perfect solution. The PFPs party through the night but their identities are shrouded in shadow (for now). 
Fun fact: the reggae soundtrack was inspired by Red’s own, funky playlist and the rave setting is peppered with subtle Redlion references. As lively as the party is, it’s only a small part of a much wider festival, one for our whole community to enjoy. This cover turned out to be part celebration of the past, part tantalising teaser for the future.
Gazette covered the controversy around Tornado Cash, which had just been blacklisted by the U.S Treasury Department. We also looked at how a Czech Royal Family is using NFTs to preserve 700 years of history and published our guide to NFT staking.

Issue #100’s ArtDrop came from Cliff. ‘Brain Blast’ captures the struggle of a busy mind - when too many thoughts rattle around your brain it eventually explodes!
