This week's cover is a celebration of Redlion achieving the 2-year milestone in NFTs. We've come a long way and we know the road ahead is even longer and tougher, but we stay strong through the runs.  Thank you to everyone supporting us on this journey 

Redlion Turns 2

Sunday 11th September was a landmark day. Not only did it see the release of Issue #104 but it marked our 2 year anniversary!
This was a huge milestone in a space full of transient projects that often disappear overnight. We wanted the cover to be a celebration of our past but also a statement of intent: Redlion is here for the long haul. After considering a collage of all 103 previous covers we settled on the idea of putting our Redlion PFPs front and centre.
A selection of legendary PFPs would rap some hot bars about Redlion, the project and its future. Finding a rapper was a difficult process as we considered different people (including Amal!) before one name stood out: Harry Lately. He jumped on the mic with some incredible rhymes and had the rap completed in a matter of minutes.
The next stop was Dudly’s studio. He had to recreate the PFP generator inside Adobe After Effects to shuffle all the different traits. In the end, he combined 16 PFPs on the cover, delivering Harry Lately’s rap as their traits shuffle.
An interview with Hackatao took a prominent position in Gazette as the artist talked PFPs and their latest ‘Kings+Queens’ project. We also covered Crypto.com’s ill-fated Champions League sponsorship and asked whether this was the best time to invest in ENS.
This week’s ArtDrop was a piece by Hackatao. ‘Queen of Redlion’ stresses a simple but incredibly important point: “nothing is nobler than freedom of expression.”
