ETH-MEN are a first of their kind NFT focussed on bringing the age-old experience of collectible action figures to the Ethereum blockchain.

The NFT community was obsessed with the new and shiny NBA TopShot marketplace and the “moments” fever was spreading rapidly.

Issue #19 was published on Sunday 24th of January 2021, the 3rd week of the year. The alien cover of this issue was designed by Dudly.

The NFT community was obsessed with the new and shiny NBA TopShot marketplace and the “moments” fever was spreading rapidly. The idea was to combine that with the other historical news that occurred that week, which of course was the monumental sale of Alien Punk #2890 for 605 ETH.

Since there was no obvious protagonist and we wanted to show the explosion of TS, we went with a vector style landscape art and presented this “alien” world. The alien volcano erupts basketballs, the trees have hoop shaped branches… You can tell where this is going. That’s how the plants pollinate in that alien world, with
3  pointers!

The color palette chosen was inspired by the flamingo’s pink color, as the buyer of the alien punk was FlamingoDAO. Some other gossip news from the week was the Soulja Boy tweet about buying XRP and the new Pornhub-Binance integration, where CZ bought a full year plan on the porn site. 
What seemed to be an unremarkable week, ended up being one with some rather historic events in the NFT space! 

The ArtDrop for the week was from ETH-MEN and it was a Dr. Terminus figurine, which introduced us to Dr. Terminus. This then led to some great content/articles that we are very proud of.
