Beeple’s Crazy Fuckin Week

Issue #24 was published on Sunday 28th February 2021, week 8 of the year.
This was an amazing 3D cover created by Dudly. Back in week 8 things were a bit different than today. Beeple just had a very successful drop with NG and his Christies auction was live at the time. His election piece just resold for $6.6M and his 5000 Everydays already had a $3M bid. Of course we know now just how much that auction generated in the end, but not back then!

This was our second Beeple cover which made it a rolling theme for us. The idea was simple: futuristic visualization of Christie’s auction of his first 5000 everydays with a giant head dominating the scene. Within the scene, you can see the participating bidders in the auction floating in their pods, while the holographic hammer is turning in a circle waiting for the final bid. Dudly had only installed Cinema 4D the previous night, and this was his first ever piece created with it.
