Miguel E. is an animator and illustrator that loves creating cute characters and animating fun loops with a distinctive style and look. With a combination of 2D and 3D design, bright colors and funny faces, his animations will keep you stick to your screen.

Issue #27 came to life on Sunday 21st March 2021, the 11th week of the year. The cover was designed by Dudly.

A rather quiet week with no big happenings except a big drop by Kolectiv on IMX. The drop was a little rough and people weren’t too happy with the experience. We did our best to communicate all of the people’s frustration with that cover. The developers did a wonderful job and everything was looking good, however it didn’t perform well under stress. The users were not happy with the whole drop and subsequently reporting multiple problems.

We took inspiration from useless machines and married that to
a house of cards reference to create what we feel was an awesome, clean 3D cover. Displayed in the art is a great production line that’s perfectly laying cards, only to be blown off by fans right after the end of the line. 

Last minute 3D covers are labor intensive and so many things can go wrong. We struggled a bit to get the issue published that week, but mission accomplished and it’s a classic now!

The ArtDrop for the week was “Self-education” by the artist Miguel Garest, who is a master of loops and animations.
