I graduated from Cal State Fullerton in the field of Communications/Advertising in 1998 and quickly found myself in the world of big Advertising. My first job was working for Foote, Cone & Belding (FCB), one of the top advertising agencies in the world as an Art Director. It was an amazing experience. Soon after my ad shop days, I started my own branding agency, called Sabet Brands. I’ve had an amazing 20 years in creating wonderful brands for appreciative and conscious clients. I continue to converge my art world with my branding work!


Along side my branding agency, I’ve always painted. I was never concerned about learning how to paint particular things, it was just a way to release and escape the complexities of life. At first, it was about emotions such as angst and anxiety. As the years passed, my work transformed to expressing love, gratitude and source energy.  I love experimenting with different mediums and materials. I discovered that Japanese brushes and Sumi Ink was the core of what made my work the most fluid, explosive and expressive. This new medium allowed me to master continuous fluid motions with expressive strokes.  I’m always connected when I’m painting. My brushes and medium are extensions of my body and they allow the energy that flows to be expressed with passion and LOVE.  1n 2016, I was invited to present my work at the Tokyo International Art Show, which was a transformative experience to my very core. It was also a confirmation of my innate connection to the land, culture and people of Japan as seen in my work.

Welcome to Ethopia

Issue #32 was published on Sunday 25th of April, week 16 of the year 2021. We have often featured ETH on our covers in various forms, but never had it taken centre stage. This elegant and iconic cover was created by Dudly.

Ethereum breaking its ATH and crossing  $2,600 was the highlight of the week. One that many were earnestly anticipating for months over. We also saw an increasing number of technical and fundamental signs regarding the decoupling from BTC.

BSC (Binance Smart Chain) on the other hand continued to see a rise in rug pulls. It became a daily occurrence for project developers to drain the liquidity and leave speculating investors with nothing. WARONRUGS issued a scam advisory on Safemoon because the owner had more than 50 % of the liquidity. Funnily enough, the same project would take interesting turns in the future. The NFT project, “The Future Dreams Fundraiser”, was hosted on the OpenSea platform with the aim to help underprivileged youth. 

All this aside, the future city of Ether named “Ethopia” was the rising star. The cloud city is encapsulated in the ETH diamond logo shape, backlit by a gorgeous blue sky. Maybe Rome wasn’t built in a day, but this city sure was. The artwork was made using Cinema 4D and a city kit from KitBash3D. The biggest task was populating the city with vegetation and tweaking its quality of it to prevent performance issues. 

The rendering itself took about 6.5 hours for a 5-sec output sequence. It was further interpolated with DAIN-app, an advanced AI software to improve the framerate for smooth turning of the model. 
This vision of  Ethopia continues to spread like a wildfire as more people realize their dreams in this space.
