Twixie Has Taken the Normieland by NFT Storm

Issue #42 was published on Sunday July 4th, 2021, week 26 of the year.
The beautiful Axies art-inspired cover was made by Dudly the Great.
A very interesting week where we witnessed NFTs shoot up in value with Axie Infinity, Cryptopunks, NBATopShot, and Art Blocks leading the way. Twitter had a remarkable and weird NFT drop. The Scott Blocks scam had just happened.

FEWOCIOUS was auctioning work at Christie’s while FAZE clan members had just launched an audacious scam titled “Save The Kids”. The way we depicted that week was with a Trojan Horse metaphor where the horse was represented by a Twitter/Axie mix that we called Twixie. 

The aforementioned Twixie is passing through the normie gates and powers into normie land. The rider, of course, is FEWOCIOUS, who had an incredible week. As Twixie is moving we can see some FAZE clan members looking at it and also a small sign with the Scott Blocks rug depicted. 

Everyone could feel the excitement in the air during week 42 and it was obvious that prices would keep trending up for the time being, while d.a.u. was starting to go parabolic.

The ArtDrop for issue #42 was “Wasting Time” by the artist Tropical Virtual, who simulates nostalgia, futurism, and vaporwave aesthetics with computer-generated graphics & animations.
