Issue #48 came out on Sunday, August 15, 2021, week 32 of the year. The title of the Cover artwork is “Grand Theft Defi” created by the legend Dudly.
The common denominators for week 32 were hacks, exploits, and losses. $600M was stolen from Polynetwork, the CryptoVenetians “art heist” took center stage, with a shocking scam reveal and another NFT hot potato ponzi scheme rounding out the news.

What an interesting week to say the least! Thus we decided a Grand Theft cover was the way to go, inspired by everyone’s favorite video game Grand Theft Auto.
The artwork follows the aesthetic of the game, depicting an armed anon holding bags with ETH and Binance logos, plus a Polynetwork fanny pack.
In the background you can spot a CryptoVenetian slowly and unsuspectedly rolling into street but he doesn’t make it to the other side, representing the heist/abduction of CVs that took place.

The ArtDrop for issue #48 was “Illumination” by the artist WhereIDraw, who is a community lover and claims to be clinging to reality by the fingertips. This can be seen in his beautiful and surreal artworks.
