Issue #60 was published on Sunday, November 7, 2021, week 44 of the year. After hijacking the big apple, NFTs were continuing to stir conversations around the world. The mural cover eulogizing this event was created by Dudly and Amal.

5000 NFT lovers schmoozed around New York City for the NFT NYC conference, a sprawling citywide event with dozens of panel discussions and hundreds of official and unofficial parties. Times Square was lit up with NFT signs left and right, and in your face. A $1 Trillion 2700-page bipartisan bill from the US House of Representatives threatened to kill the budding NFT industry with 8 simple words, but that did little to affect the mood of the community that was blessed with the $ENS airdrop for domain holders. 

Crypto also lent its helping hands to those struck by disaster in the Philippines, unlike those corporate hoes that pull Twitter gimmicks saying that they will donate large amounts of money and then disappear to only be back with more stunts.

We had two covers for this issue, one of course that didn’t see the light of the day. The concept that we had planned didn’t look fit for the occasion, so we completely scrapped it and started over again. An ape instead of Lady Liberty plastered across a gigantic cliche NYC wall. The BAYC fandom had made incredible noise at the conference and it was only fair to feature them as the stars of the event. It’s wild how people can identify New York with just a glimpse of a wall, and that also came as a blessing for us. The cover was completed in the nick of time and was speckled with a few references that you see on close inspection.

Events such as NFT NYC are the cornerstones that help the community to get closer and build further.
