Although this looks like one of our most elegant designs yet, the subject matter is anything but. The cover was dedicated to the collapse of yet another crypto company: 3 Arrows Capital, which took a lot of investor cash with it. At first, we planned to use MidJourney (an application that creates images based on keywords) but it wasn’t quite working out. Instead, we settled on a 3D style artwork.

Dudly sketched out a picture of three sad arrows wilting in a vase as the golden liquid keeping them alive drained away. Tiny onlookers crowd around the vase, staring in horror as their investments dwindle to nothing. The 3D rendering breathed life into the sketch using soft lighting changes and ambient sounds. With its delicate, golden palette, this cover oozes luxury despite the doom-leaden theme.

In the end, we were pleased that we moved away from the initial MidJourney idea. It’s a powerful and useful tool, but nothing beats the human imagination.
