The 1st Redlion Gazette featuring a cover artwork collaboration! Cliff, a prolific illustrator and someone who is passionate about creating aliens and trippy creatures joined us for this milestone by creating the cover artwork for the 150th issue of Redlion Gazette.
Redlion Gazette started with tabloid-style cover artwork by our founder Redlioneye in 2020. From issue #10 onwards co-founder and Art Director, Dudly was solely creating the artworks, animating, and mixing sounds. A long solo marathon until I joined at issue #56, which was a really bumpy Gazette creation experience.
From there on we have been creating artwork after artworks in different styles, different formats telling all kinds of crazy stories that have happened over the last 3 years. Today we are proud that we have proved that this is possible, and now we are opening the doors to more artists to join in and experience this weekend madness and recording of history.
The recent news of the Congressional hearing where former intelligence officers confessed that there is a 'multi-decade' program at the Pentagon that captures UFOs and reverse engineers them, was the hottest topic from last week.
We were lucky enough to find Cliff who shares an interest in that area artistically. Despite having a busy schedule Cliff took on the challenge of creating the Gazette Artwork. He shared with us his sketches and we knew it was going to be a banger!
To be honest, we were anxious as to how this new step at Redlion would result, but to our surprise Cliff executed it very professionally and impressively. Once we received the files we decided to run it through our animation lab and add a bit of "pop" as Red says. We also added some music and SFX and that was it, the 1st Redlion Gazette Artwork collaboration was here!
We look forward to giving this opportunity to more artists who would love to be a part of this historical publication, and the only one in NFTs.
