As the NFT Market keeps going strong, SuperRare surprised everyone with an airdrop of their token $RARE. We illustrated the whole idea as a 3-storied-house.

Issue #49 was released on Sunday, August 22, 2021, week 33 of the year. The cover illustration was created by Dudly. As the NFT Market keeps going strong, SuperRare surprised everyone with an airdrop of their token $RARE. We illustrated the whole idea as a 3-storied-house. 

The first floor serves as a reception for the invited artists where they can apply directly to the DAO CurationPanel or any of the Spaces. The heating system is supplied from a tank filled with $RARE. On the top left, you can spot a Foodmasku artwork and the rose painting is referencing SuperRareRoses, SR’s founder. The other artworks visible include the first-ever SupeRare mint (April 5, 2018) and some of the first SR Xcopys. 

On the rooftop a small Pepe is seen negotiating with the Taliban;
a single anon Pepe did more for the hostages than entire countries. The painting of a young girl in the lobby is an interpretation of photo by Rizacan Kumas. August of 2021 sure was a great time to be alive and into NFTs.

The ArtDrop for issue #49 was “Bikes of Burden” by the photographer Hans Kemp, who captures the human condition through his frames.
