A week in NFTs with a spicy gossip drama is so helpful for cover artist's inspiration. Another wave of Artchick's identity speculations was the perfect subject to build our cover art concept around.
The idea of depicting identity layers as a Russian nested doll called "Matryoshka" almost instantly came to my mind. We also agreed upon creating a 3D Art cover once again, and such a single object concept is very suitable for given timeframes.
Once presented to and confirmed by our "Cover" board channel, I knew that the perfect technique to draw the patterns directly on the 3D object would be to utilize the recently introduced 3D features in Procreate – drawing software for iPad.
I had to test and research optimal import-export parameters, so that any potential hiccups won't waste my efforts.
The first revealed nested doll represents Beanie as a reminiscence to previous allegations and TW fight of these two NFT influencers. Inside we hid a drawing of the latest expressive selfie video posted by Artchick.
Next in the line is our mysterious Mr. Tanner, whoever he/she is. The final reveal of the tiny doll brings a drawing of small cute catfish to finish the animation funnily.
A few tiny details were hidden into the "Master" doll patterns: FUD (token), #2476 (Cryptopunk), ETH sign, and sun with the greeting that's becoming more and more popular—
"GM".
Wherever the truth is, it's probably a good time to launch a "Disguised Anon Catfish" animal PFP project. Anyone? See you next week!
