Glory to Ukraine! Our cover for issue 76 was created to show our support for Ukraine in the war they are facing against ruthless Russia. Brave are those that during critical times stand tall even when the odds are against them. We send our well wishes and prayers to the people of Ukraine.

The theme of the cover was decided after Russia declared the war, and the entire world understood that grave event were going to unfold. We took to our drawing board with a heavy heart but had decided that the cover will be one that shows the strength of the Ukrainians rather than the violence inflicted upon them by the invaders. Several concepts lined the board.

In the end we picked one that we believed would empower all generations: a Ukranian girl finds a bomb at the door of her house, but instead of being terrified by the sight she instantly turns the bomb into dust.

After working through several angles and positions we finalized the one you see now. We hope the hand of death and the sounds of war that is depicted make you understand of the situation an entire nation faces. It was only later we decided to include the texts to drive the empowering concept home. The text on the top means “ Glory to Ukraine” and the text on the bottom means “My Home”. We believe that this token of our support adds to the ocean of support that Ukraine is today receiving from the world around. Let us continue to support in every way possible so that no stone is left unturned in standing up against fascism and ruthless dictators. 

We hope to hear of peace soon between the nations so that the world can live us one.
