A slow week takes the upturn and becomes absolutely happening. These are the instances that put us to the real test with the Gazette. We always try to bring you the latest news with all of our Gazettes, and we have done that with this issue too.
At first the concept was developed for a different article: The Streisand Effect. A cool pastel 3D cover is what you all missed frens! Soon enough the concept changed because there was the Cryptochick drama we had to attend to.
The line between inspiration and imitation is thin only if you think so; imitation starts where inspiration ends. We took to the drawing board to have do a cover artwork in a collage style that was long due. It was a concept with a lot of freedom to experiment and go wild. As the ship set to sail on this concept we had the Ukraine-Russia conflict enter. This we will entirely cover in the next issue(maybe) but there are still small references to the war in the artwork.Â
The artworks were made using a mix of both collage and drawing styles. We have used parts from various sources of the renaissance period and a pinch of pop culture to complete the whole circle of inspiration. The end result was amusing to say the least. It reminded us of the faces we see on bathroom tiles– you make them in your head. The several parts when joined together made unbelievably surreal faces. We had the cover complete with the assembling animation that gave the cover an edge and reminds us that it could have been a million different things. The artwork was so interesting to create that we even have an entire portion beneath the collages that will forever be hidden.Â
We will be back next week with another cool cover! Already exciting to wonder what event may unfold the last minute.
