A new year calls for new rivalries and controversies! But we are still clearing the debts on a few of the old ones. The first week of the year saw Coffeezilla take on Logan Paul’s rugged collection CryptoZoo NFT.

AI is clearly after my job is all that I have to say to begin with. The renders from the Midjourney application are mind-blowing, to say the least. The effective results for the prompt Godzilla illustrations were so interesting in both style and composition. The idea was to show Coffeezilla (basically Godzilla with a cup and saucer for a head) destroying a butt-naked Logan Paul who is seated on top of a giant eff inside his deserted CryptoZoo. 

After we settled on an interesting composition for a zoo we set out to create the first cover of the year. It’s not always a great day to create art, some days are just devoid of any inspiration and drive, but when your task demands to show up and create art you just have to dig and hope to get to the other side. 

Once the artwork was created after battling some difficulties we set out to animate the artwork. The new change starting with this issue is that the animated artwork will be auctioned as Legendary Gazette. This brings its own challenges as the static also needs to convey the message and not be restricted by animation. 

We finished the animation with some parts being animated frame by frame and the rest all animated in After Effects. As we always do the animations are accompanied by apt music and sound effects that bring the animation to full-blown life. Starting the year with such a online beef is quite a sign that there are more to come in 2023; wait, we shall.
