The commUNITY came together to rescue CryptoNovo's identity: Punk #3706 was wrested from the clutches of a hacker. The #GoFundNovo movement proved that, just like immutable blocks on-chain, OG pixels create unbreakable bonds between Anons.
The movement showed the world the strength of community within NFTs and how it has empowered the people and will have better impressions on those who will be entering the space in the future. We had to cover this news so that the space will remember it for the times to come.Â
Dudly was in the process of oiling his artist engine and getting back to doing more pixel art when this news arrived. It was a punk story so we went with pixel art. The concept was to create an isometric artwork of CryptoNovo as a statue that gets bombed and then is resurrected as people celebrate. The work was divided between the both of us, with Dudly taking up the main task of creating the punk statue, while I worked on the crowd, the helicopter, and the explosions.Â
Once the artwork elements were created, Dudly put them together in AE and combined them with the SFX and pixel-gamey music to bring it into the mood. There we had a beautiful isometric artwork that perfectly conveyed the emotions from last week in NFTs. We wonder what news we will be covering next week and what style it will be in!
