The airdrop season is warming up, and in the past week, we had Arbitrum airdrop that made plenty of bags around here heavy.
As we had had a cover before for Gazette 68 showing the airdrop season, we had to take a different approach this time. We were pushing around several concepts when Omega shared an article about how several million were farmed and sent to one address. This sent us in the direction of assuming that it was a Sybil attack.
Dudly remembered the painting from the Sistine Chapel by Michaelangelo of Sybil. We decided we were going to Pepe-fy the artwork and add other references. I started with the face, and body and then moved on to creating the laptop and changing the statues into Pepe too. We also added references about the Punk that got sent to a burn address and showed a Taxman who was looking to tax NFTs (about the news that SEC is looking into taxing NFTs). We had also decided to feature some text on the two pillars by the side. For this, we consulted our talented editor Stephen, who fed us with appropriate texts that fit the occasion.
The animation was kept subtle with only the coins falling into the airdrop collector bag being the major one. We added music and SFX that would enhance the renaissance ambiance.
A slow week if not for the airdrop, but I guess it’s not fair to expect things to happen every week of the year!
