The first Redlion cover with NFTs favorite meme star. This one was long overdue and we had it covered with this issue! A burger-flipping ex-millionaire! Sure must have been a great ride for Jose to be flipping burgers at the end of it all.

The past week was quite uneventful in terms of NFT progress but eventful in the number of red candles that were lit up in crypto. This is no new experience for many experienced in crypto, but for those who are new, this definitely calls for a stress alarm. 

The cover was wavering between several dull concepts before Dudly came up with this brilliant one at 2 AM Sat. Our meme star reminiscing the good old days spent as a millionaire in crypto while he works the counter at a fast-food outlet you all are familiar with. Immediately after the sketch was brought onto the table we could not help find the witty situation depicted. Plus we had the meme-star taking center stage! Due to how furie-ous the creator of Pepe can get we stayed away from using the real name. Instead, we have it Jose here. It’s common for Joses to have the nickname Pepe. We set out to paint the artwork in a jiffy after choosing between two versions of our star. 

Once we had the artwork we added short frame-by-frame animations with the tears welling up and blinking. Later, we added some more subtle lips twitching and body shivers as our star breaks down showing off his Twitter account from back in the day. We are sure the customer he showed it to didn’t care one bit about the flexing profile picture cased in the hexagon or the Twitter Blue he once used to use. The customer probably politely asked him to make their fries spicy instead.  

Another highlight we all had the pleasure to experience for the second time in a row was our public sale selling out! The issue was sold out in less than 30 minutes! Super sweet right! Clearly, degens share the sentiment and fears shown on the cover lol.
