Cover for issue 72 depicts the honest situation Opensea is going through currently. Time to time breakdowns, spread of misinformation and bugs that continue to cause disaster.

The past week would have been slow and snoozy if not for the Opensea disaster. If you were one of those who had their earlier listings evoked and lost NFTs, you know exactly what we are talking about. 

Opensea had unknowingly created a minefield. There were several other concepts for the cover, showing a sea that causes colossal damage in different manners. This one struck the team best! A minefield of updates in the “open” sea and a steampunk slowly cruising through. Even though we may have gone for a comic-style Dudly’s still frame of how the cover will look like if done in C4D blew us away. Instantly it was decided to have a 3D cover that was long due. 

If you look close you can find small hints of references, with the lobster (models holding lobsters with Jordan Belfort) and the Update mines from Opensea that caused even more chaos in the community.

The render took approximately 10 long nail-biting hours after heavy storms were causing power outages. Clearly, the weather was on our side, and did not want RL frens to miss out on another killer cover!
