The Wormhole hack definitely shook crypto frens last week. Ironically candles are green all over even after this event. How crypto brains function remains a mystery to the normal world. Our cover for issue 73 was depicting this sneaky hack.

The concept for the cover originated from the “worm”. At first, it was a bank robbery scene but we later agreed that didn’t have the spicy RL twist to it. A session of brain-picking later, we had this Worm-hole concept. We figured that the style we have used here fit better even though we had another style in mind for the execution in the beginning. 

After the artwork was created the tricky part was to animate the sneaky hands that crawled up the different holes and robs the ETH. Dudly had this work out after scheming a clever solution in the limited amount of time we were working with. Ta-da! We had a super-smooth animation of the long limbs.

Meanwhile this was being animated we also snuck in some goofy animations for the other references of articles of Mark Cuban, Ape DAO, the sly GameStop representative (about the Immutable X grant and the drama following it), and few of the squiggly worms we have topped the cover with. 

Really loving the hellish/popsicle vibe of this cover! Hope you all liked it too frens. We will be back with another cool cover next week!
